Designed by Sean Drummond as part of a collaboration between Kitronik and Smoke & Mirrors, it uses a fully laser cuttable (and potentially die-cuttable) design. The headband is typically polypropylene for its toughness, with the visor itself in PETG. It is not part of any CE marking application that we are aware of.
Comfort: Conforming, flat and wide headband comfortable to wear. Very lightweight (~20g).
Ease of use: Some assembly required, by end users if distributed flat-packed. Adjustable strap adds time and may increase contamination contact risk. Fogging-resistant due to ventilation.
Safety: The visor is an A4 sheet, which provides approximately the minimum coverage required by UK regulations due to the proximity of the visor to the face. No protection from droplets falling over the top of the visor.
UK approval: It is not part of any CE marking application that we are aware of.
Sterilisation: Smooth surfaces and lack of porosity mean it should be sterilisable with steam or wiping down.
